Welcome to day 1 of The Priscilla Glenn Back to You Blog Tour! Woohoo!!! We’re so happy to be one of the first stops and we have a fun Q&A with Priscilla Glenn for you, a fabulous review, a signed copy giveaway, plus an exclusive teaser (and details about the release of the full sneak peek at the end of the tour next week)! So let’s get down to business!
You read Back to You by Priscilla Glenn, right? RIGHT?! If not, stop everything you’re doing and get on this book! I’ll wait. Don’t believe me? Check out our review of the book here and if a 10+ star review doesn’t convince you then, well, you have issues. This book and the author are nothing short of amazing! Back to You is the story of Lauren, a day care teacher still reeling ten years after being left behind by her best friend and first love Michael. When he shows up at the daycare with his daughter in tow, Lauren is shocked to discover she just might still have feelings for him and is forced to choose between this ghost from her past and the perfect man she’s currently dating. I can’t do it justice. All I can say is, read our review, buy the book, and then put your entry in to win 1 of 3 signed copies below!
Now on to the fun stuff! Below you’ll find a hilarious Top Ten with Priscilla and a teaser of the sneak peek to her new book, Emancipating Andie, we’ll be releasing in its entirety January 9th.
Top Ten with Priscilla Glenn
Full disclosure: I totally cheat when it comes to “favorite” surveys. Instead of choosing favorites, I give lists. You’ve been warned.
Favorite movie: Dirty Dancing, A Bronx Tale, National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation, The Karate Kid (the original!), My Cousin Vinny, The Princess Bride
Favorite song: Colorblind by Counting Crows, This Year’s Love by David Gray (I taught myself how to play both on the piano!), Hold You In My Arms by Ray LaMontagne, These Are The Days by Van Morrison, Arizona by Kings of Leon, Last Request by Paolo Nutini, Killing Me Softly by The Fugees, Romeo and Juliet by Dire Straits
A place I’d love to visit: Italy, Greece (especially Santorini), Hawaii
Item you can’t live without: My cell phone. I know it’s irrational, but if I ever happen to forget it at home, or if it runs out of battery in a place where I can’t charge it, I have a moment of sheer panic. It’s quite ridiculous.
Person you would like to meet: If I were being fantastical, I would say Maya Angelou. If I were being realistic, I would say Katja Millay, author of The Sea of Tranquility. She stepped up and took me under her wing when I first published Back to You, and we’ve been trading emails, texts, and phone calls ever since. We often lament the fact that we can’t just hop in the car and meet up for coffee. Or alcohol, depending on the day ;)
Favorite hobby: If I say reading and writing, is that cheating? It truly does take up most of the free time I have when I’m not teaching or taking care of my family. I love, love, love getting manicures and pedicures. Does that qualify as a hobby? 😉 I also love teaching myself songs on the piano, although it’s been a while since I’ve learned anything new.
Guilty pleasure: Robert Pattinson. I know, I know. My husband never misses an opportunity to tell me I’m not thirteen years old, to which I always respond that I don’t have a crush on him for being Edward. I like that he’s humble and self-deprecating and funny. And also, he’s sex on legs.
Favorite book/author: anything by Emily Giffin, Stephenie Meyer, JR Ward, Tammara Webber, Victoria Dahl, Jennifer Crusie, Suzanne Collins, Veronica Roth, SC Stephens
Favorite color: blue
Collect anything? Do toys count? My kids are five, three, and ten months. My family room often looks like an episode of hoarders.
EXCLUSIVE TEASER for Priscilla Glenn’s next book, Emancipating Andie. The full 3 page sneak peek will be released on January 9th! Check back for the full thing but for now, content yourself with this:
He lunged at her and she screeched in protest, attempting to get out of the car, but he grabbed her hand before she could reach the handle.
Andie sucked in a breath and froze.
It was like a static shock, only not unpleasant, a fuzzy electric tingling that shot up
her arm the second he touched her, settling in her chest.
As soon as she gave up the fight, he reached over and took her other hand, sandwiching them between both of his.
She could feel the warmth of his skin permeating hers as he pressed his palms together, and she glanced up at him. He was watching her, his eyes full of amusement and something else she couldn’t place.
More of this awesome sneak peek to be revealed in just 6 days…
